Proenza Schouler RTW SS 2013 Review
Proenza Schouler did not disappoint with their latest RTW Spring 2013 collection, which had an overwhelming but AMAZING representation of leather in a lot of their pieces. The python leather skirt with the yellow colour block, paired with a leather T somehow doesn’t seem to be too much leather for an outfit - work of a master.
They even try their hand at full-on matching leather suits - the red and black leather suit will make for a statement if you ever wear that into work - in a good way!
The pieces that I would be most “ready-to-wear” (no pun intended) would be the digital print dresses. Ever since this trend landed in stores for SS 2012 I have been a fan of this sometimes whimsical and funky integration of photos onto fashion garments. Here with this collection it is beautifully done, with a well though out transition from the different segments on the dress. The photos are usually in the mid section, transitioning gradients of colours and pigments together with the photo image. One word - beautiful.
